After JAMES BLAKE recently toured Australia there is no denying the hours we have spent scrolling through SOUNDCLOUD remixes to see how people have altered the already perfect sounds ‘the post dub prince’ has created.
Lucky enough we stumbled on the FINN PILLY remix of Retrograde from JAMES BLAKE’s soon to be released album Overgrown and thank goodness we did!
FINN PILLY’s edit turns sad (and sometimes invasive) dub into smooth deep house while conserving BLAKE’ haunting and beautiful voice. This extended version means you don’t have to limit yourself to the original time of 3:45 and can treat your ears to more of the clean and delicate but equally as toe tapping remix that has been produced.
