The much-anticipated album from Swedish duo THE KNIFE is set to drop in early April after seven long years of waiting. The new album, titled ‘Shaking The Habitual’ is the first from the makers of the Stockholm electronic music producers since ‘Silent Shout’ in 2006, and it’s fair to say everyone is keen to know what they have in store.

Directed by Roxy Farhat & Kakan Hermansson, the newly released video for track ‘A Tooth For An Eye’ off the upcoming album gives a little snapshot into what is to be expected from THE KNIFE in the coming months.

The clip, as much of the music produced by THE KNIFE works to fights the conventional. Set in a school gymnasium, and with the main character being a young female in the traditionally male dominated role of coach amongst a room full of grown men, the theme of role reversal is explored. The idea of playing with patriarchy runs throughout the clip, as the young girl leads the athletic men through a dreamlike, bordering ritualistic dance sequence - very fitting for the strong, tribal beats that come through in this track.
