So... did anyone order some seriously dark and intriguing content today? Oh you did? You must be looking for the new CITY CALM DOWN clip then.

'Sense Of Self' is the second single from the Melbourne band's latest EP, Movements, released late last year through everyones favourite indie label - I OH YOU. It's a track that deals with some disturbing content, something that CCD seem to have within their creations very often, this time surrounding a persons inner wellbeing. The brand new accompanying video clip, directed by Oh Yeah Wow, follows a very similar theme. One of darkness, despair and the inner workings of someone struggling.

I don't want to giveaway the plot, so here's a quick summary of what the clip is filled with:

  • Possible drug addicted female spending her time under a bridge
  • Also is a prostitute
  • Also can shoot people with her fingers
  • Or is she just using a gun and she's gone batshit insane?

Well that's a question you'll have to find out by watching this bad boy. Which is pretty coincidental.. as it seems we have it embedded below. WHOA!

Overall, it's a smart clip that links perfectly with the story and lyrical content of the song, with very solid cinematography and a genuine thought provoking central idea. Good job dudes.

Love Tom x
