TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT: James Blake
James Blake has not only recently announced the release of his sophomore LP, he'll also be here at the end of this month to play two special shows!
JAMES BLAKE is the type of musician you don't come by too often. At just 24 years old, he's an incredibly gifted innovator with a keen eye for blending electronica, dub-step, hip-hop and house music. Having just released his first single ('Retrograde') from his forthcoming sophomore LP Overgrown, he has also proven a sense of striking versatility in the work that he produces.
Having not really done much since the release of his debut record in 2011, it's more than exciting to bear the knowledge that we will soon be introduced to a whole new suite of his music.
On top of this though, it has just been announced by Secret Sounds that Blake will be stopping by Australia this month to play two very special, intimate shows!

As Overgrown is to be released in early April, this does indeed mean that those who will be lucky enough to snap up a ticket will have the first available listen of the record - live!
The debut earned Blake a Mercury Prize nomination, as well as two BRIT award nominations. He also comfortably sat at the second spot for BBC's Sound of 2011 countdown, as well as toured the globe with his breathtaking, soul infused electronica.
Considering this and the richness of Overgrown's 'Retrograde', the prospect of the entire album is looking pretty promising.
Very limited tickets are available to these shows, so make sure you're quick! They go on sale this Monday, the 11th of March at 9am. You also have the option of bundling the ticket up with a sweet vinyl and badge package.
If you don't have that kind of dough straight away, worry about the LP later, as it will be available via Universal Music Australia on Friday, 5th April. It can also be separately pre-ordered HERE.
So if I've tainted your bank account, forcing you to decide to either a) go out this weekend or b) save your money for a James Blake ticket, I'd definitely go for the latter. It's going to be pretty amazing!
