Live Review: MIXTAPE: Aeroplane 'March 2013' Mix [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Now we know that AEROPLANE is the king of disco infused mixtapes, but this time around he's taking his love of the old, blending it with the new and creating something really special. And it's just another regular ol' March Mixtape.

Coming in at just over an hour in length, everything about March mix is the perfect collaboration of chilled and heavy hitting. Featuring some deeper disco tracks as well as some remixes of indie idols like Grizzly Bear and Sky Ferreira, the mix manages to float it's way through light and airy synths, robotic instrumentation, R&B vocals, angular guitars, 80's electro-jazz and a hell of a lot more. We're surprised all these sounds manage to fit into an hour slot.

There isn't much else to say really, it's a mix that seems to put you in the middle of a 70's French discotech whilst also managing place you in your local trendsetting night spot. The longer you listen the more you get caught up in the music and the less you end up doing what you were meant to - it's taken me an extra 40 minutes to write this as I was too busy blissfully dancing... in my head of course (I work in an office, just like everyone else).
