Made specifically for his live show, Mike Perry - better known musically under the moniker PACES - has released a package consisting of two of his bootlegs titled R&B Jams on his Soundcloud, and he wants you to have them for free!

Paces produced these songs as lots of his music includes a fair amount of vocal snippets from an array of R&B songs, therefore he "thought it would make sense to have a couple of bootlegs that bridge the gap from R&B to future bass."

The first of this two-track package is Aaliyah's 'Are You That Somebody'.

Repetitive vocals, clean bass, swap-meet drums and creepy synth samples predominantly make up this track. Throw in some strings and trembling keys and you have a strong, well put together bootleg of Aaliyah's 'Are You That Somebody'.

Signing off the description of the package with "I'm aware that every producer in the world throughout history has made a version of 'Are you that somebody'. This is my version. Please feel free to kiss me on the balls if you're upset by this :)", Paces clearly just makes music for you to enjoy in his own way, rather than trying to be a better producer than someone else.

The second of Paces' R&B Jams is his bootleg of Ciara's '1, 2 Step'.

This second half of the package definitely continues on from its predecessor, as this bootleg maintains the same sonic vibe, mainly due to those spooky yet very cool synth samples. There is also much repetition of female vocals.

That isn't to say that this track just sounds the same as the Aaliyah bootleg though, as this track also includes a nice little spotlight on Missy Elliott's feature, as well as basically being stripped and reworked by the replacement of most, if not all, instruments. The replacements carry the song in the same direction as the original, just with a different sound.
