ALBUM ANNOUNCEMENT: Charli XCX 'True Romance'

British artist CHARLI XCX continues adding to her fan base with every release she puts out into the world. Whether it be an original track or a remixed tune, her talent seeks the hands of many globally, and eventually ends up landing in the right spot. I'm sure this isn't subject to change once she releases her most exciting project yet; her debut album True Romance!

Already selling out shows throughout the United States since the release of her Your'e The One EP, Charli XCX should be very excited as she is set to launch her album across three dates in the UK before she takes off on a European tour with Ellie Goulding, as well as travelling through America with Marina And The Diamonds. This is all after she performs ten times at Texas' SXSW of course!

The album is 13 tracks long, and features some previously heard tracks, including her latest single 'You (Ha Ha Ha)'.

The track features a frenetic convulsion of looped samples, percussion that is seemingly on speed and lyrics detailing a former partner's fuck-up.

This is just one track involving a relationship theme. Expect a lot of this throughout True Romance as the artist herself stated,

"For me, it's a very emotional record. I suppose I kind of grew up through the process of making this album and as I've grown my views on love and life have been constantly changing. Each song is about love in some shape or form, whether that be euphoric love, heartbreak or obsession. Every corner of my own romantic history is explored on this record, so for me it's very raw, it's very honest and it's very true. I've written a pop record from the heart, and when people hear it I hope they want to dance and cry at the same time."

To be released through US label IAMSOUND, True Romance is due to hit the digital and physical shelves on the 16th of April.
