Launching to Sydney and Melbourne audiences in February Diaspora is the debut album from THE TOWNHOUSES, the solo project from the Melbourne based Leigh Hannah.
Released onto the marked in November last year THE TOWNHOUSES received glowing reviews from critics for the beautiful and breezy nature of the LP. With influences as wide ranging as Tropicalia, Gamelan, African and Ambient soundscapes Diaspora and THE TOWNHOUSES himself are an elegant collage of breezy vibes perfect for summer cool downs.

Since working on Diaspora has completed a European tour, receiving rave reviews for is work supporting the likes of Dent May, School of Seven Bells, Toro Y Moi, Sun Araw, Prince Rama, Seaworthy, Pantha Du Prince and many more. Since he has been back in the country he made an appearance at (the now defunct) Peats Ridge Festival and with the Diaspora album launch THE TOWNHOUSES will be playing a small group of shows in both Sydney and Melbourne.
