Ringing in the new year with a fresh EP release Baseworld, Canadian producer RYAN HEMSWORTH is back with a video for his dreamy single 'Color & Movement'.

The 22-year old artist rose to fame for his work with rap group Main Attractions and Chicago's Supreme Cuts and released his first EP halfway through 2012, followed by Baseworld.

The video's hazy minimalist aesthetic of unfocused, fragmented imagery is super sensual. Directed by Yoni Lappan, it follows the carefree plight of four wild girls. In a Skins meets Lena Dunham way, it cuts from cityscape to campfire to four friends revelling in the night.  On mute, it could be a campaign for American Apparel.

'Colour and Movement' couldn't get much more indulgent, trailing through Hemsworth's entrancing synth loops and melodic percussion. We catch glimpses of her arms, her legs, her hair, her eyes, her lips and it's like these girls don't belong to anyone. From the entrancing mirror effect to flashes of dirty blonde waves, it's hypnotic and entrancing.

Hemsworth keeps it playful, never mind the melancholy undertone and sneaky Elliot Smith sample: "everything means nothing to me." His work is more about the emotional feel of the music rather than the lyrics.

Also, smoking hasn't looked this good since Mad Men.
