Live Review: LISTEN: YACHT 'Second Summer' (Ben Aqua Remix)

Remember that time you “accidently” caught yourself dancing when you know you are a horrible dancer and that you should (for the sake of others) stick to bopping up and down? Remember when you tried to reason with yourself, claiming “It was the song’s fault, it made me do it”?

This song is “It made me do it”.

YACHT’s eclectic and extremely eccentric nature has been captured pretty square on by Ben Aqua in this stunning remix of their recent release, Second Summer.

What I get from this is creativity, bass-y riffs and a heck of an urge to dance. The original sample track is recognisable, but under the guise of some speed, some major additional beats, and a more repetitive synth line, there is a significant difference. Split-second vocal pop-ups incur some super repetitive tones, making this track obviously catchy as hell and a great supporter of your Saturday night.
