Sydney boys Jinja Safari have a shiny new tune called 'Silence of the Guns'. Dom lends us his thoughts...
JINJA SAFARI is one of those bands you wish you were in. If you've ever had the pleasure of seeing them live, you'd know what I'm talking about. All the colours, all the quirky instrumentation, all the fun! Even Tom Waits couldn't stay gloomy.
With the help of KINFE GESHU, the Sydney afro-poppers have released a new track ahead of their debut album (due August this year) entitled 'Silence of the Guns'. The tune is typical JINJA SAFARI-positive, upbeat and sure to get your feet-tapping. Front-man Marcus Azon injects his trademark warmth and energy, with background chanting and horns thrown in for some added buoyancy.
