Live Review: ALBUM STREAM: Two Door Cinema Club ‘Beacon’

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB are releasing their new album ‘Beacon’ on August 31^st. This is not new news. But because SAM, ALEX and KEVIN are clearly just really swell dudes, they are letting fans stream the album free, complete and brimming with excellence for all of us mere mortals to peruse at our leisure. And oh man, are we perusing.

It’s got that classic TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB feel, but there’s something a little bit more… mature (to steal an adjective from one of our purple sneakers lasses) about this one. It’s all indie pop, but deeper, fuller, brimming as I said before with fucking greatness. And hey, President Obama is on board, why wouldn’t you be?

In fact the US President has even ‘requested’ the boys add another date to their tour as a special treat for his co-workers, so they can all go and indie-bop along. So go have a listen to that stream, if not to hear TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB at their best, to at least attempt to imagine the President of the United states indie-bopping along.

But seriously, go for the music. It’s everything could have ever dreamed of TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB and more. Way more. I hope your expectations are high because they are about to be met, and then some. As a side note; how cool is the cover art? Slightly Old Gregg inspired, but, you know, totally bangable.
