Live Review: LISTEN: Wild Nothing 'Paradise'

Woah! This is amazing, sectional and unlike anything I have heard from Wild Nothing to date, conjuring images of golden afternoons, english sea sides and hazey mornings.

That crisp clean guitar and sharp drums, seemingly something new from the guys, a clearer picture that swells inside your mind and the contour of this song is beautiful! Seagulls chirping, that english seaside springs to mind (there’s some alliteration for you)

The body of this song elongated, beautiful spacious ambience filling its core. Weird reversed vocals and a delayed guitar loop flow across the track's skin like creamy waves of sound.

Taking their time, Wild Nothing have produced another soulgazing masterpiece. (Yes, I said soulgazing…) The intricacies they have added, stereo panning, double tracked vocals and the overall production of the track is gorgeous.

The lyrics “love is paradise” resonate through the music, though not only the lyrics but the music show a brighter side to what was previously a very dark sound. (and don’t worry they’re still incredibly mood (which is why we, may I say we? yeah? okay! which is why WE love them)).
