Live Review: WATCH: Sweet Teeth 'Holiday'

17 July 2012 | 1:30 pm | Hannah Story

I went on holiday and now I'm FANTASTIC, say Sweet Teeth, who we envy greatly.

Here we go, time to get a new week rolling with a new video from Sydney dance-punk band, SWEET TEETH. They've been touring our East Coast since the release of their EP and fingers crossed, working on a debut LP.

This clip features split-frame antics, as members of the band perform in front of a white background- they gnaw lollipops and guitars, they dance. Then they head out into the world with their 100 000 friends to continue the dance and fight for the spotlight.

Still, the squealing vocals of Nathan Martin stand out. The song pokes fun at the pains of the upper-class white boy- using his parents credit cards for his overseas trip, having to get a job, how boring everyone at home is... It's a hard life. Oh also also also snaps to the vocal stylings of Marnie Vaughn in the chorus. Drumming and singing at the same time seems much harder than it seems (and it seems real hard).
