Wild Nothing have a brand new song in which you can bathe your senses.
So I guess it goes without saying that I’m pretty excited about WILD NOTHING’s forthcoming album Nocturne. It'll be the follow-up to Jack Tatum’s 2010 album Gemini. Take a listen, picture it, and ponder what the soundtrack to life would be like. You lay still, welded at the soul, gaze fixed on the darken shadow and allow for the motion around you to take shape and cradle in your mind. To "feel something for you, that’s all I can do," but only to see that, beyond this dream world, is a putative future fully fixed in the mind of an idealistic stranger.
'Shadow' is a promising return for Wild Nothing, an equally promising album further filled with luscious shoegaze, catchy pop and the added twist of non-directional attitude. I’m also drinking in the assurance that there’s a shift change, a sense of instrumental refinement that has rung true in the song. Without a doubt, this shift will be evident in the rest of the album. Herein they have captured in a bath of shattered senses the gentleness of vocals, the orchestrated harmonies, and the possibility of growth.
