Live Review: LISTEN: Wolf & Cub ‘Shut Me Out’/‘Got Nothing Coming’

‘Shut Me Out’ marks the second double A side single release this year for the guys from Adelaide’s psychedelic rockers, WOLF & CUB.

While the boys have stuck to their part 60s revival, part indie garage-rock roots care of their February release, ‘See the Light’, fans should prepare for something a little dirtier, and perhaps a little darker this time around. Shadowy, swampy bass lines underlie Joel Byrne’s smoky vocals for lead track ‘Shut Me Out’ and it’s grungy A side partner, ‘Got Nothing Coming’.

WOLF & CUB’s teaser releases this year, while satisfying, only leave us wanting more. Lucky for us, they start touring next week, finishing up with a spot at Splendour in the Grass in July. Warning: teaser below:
