Practicing your ‘pushing-bitches-out-the-way’ walk along to ‘Excuse me’ the new ‘Distinction Vol. I- An introduction' mix by Country Club.

Our homegrown duo COUNTRY CLUB, the brilliant combination of CASSIAN and SHAZAM! have been hard at work producing a bunch of new tunes for us lucky peeps playing at home.

First up is the funky little dance track ‘Excuse me.’ In a nutshell, this track is a winner because it gives you a perfectly acceptable reason to say “EXCUSE ME” in your best Spanish accent with excessive attitude, over and over and over…

COUNTRY CLUB have recently come out with this little gem, fresh off their soon to be released EP, and thank heavens for that. This tune has a tough housey bassline, is mega bad-ass AND is perfect for practicing your ‘pushing-bitches-out-the-way’ walk.

Next up is their ‘Distinction Vol. I- An introduction.’ This mix was only dropped a few days ago and as its description says it’s our first little taste of what’s to come - get excited! The mix features five unheard tracks from COUNTRY CLUB, so just in case you’re mentally unsound and needed another reason to listen- there you go.

The mix starts off as classy as ever, featuring some delightful background noise that sounds as though it’s been pulled straight from a country club’s dining hall- just to get you in the mood of course.

But it ain’t all tea and sandwiches kids.

The mix starts off with a fairly dark tone, the beginning being quite minimal. As it progresses, the tone begins to change and it hits a real high point towards the middle, and by dropping tracks like The Empire’s ‘Broke One’, the mix finishes up as dancey and upbeat as ever.

Amongst a delicious selection of COUNTRY CLUB originals are a bunch of other really cool tracks from artists such as Jimmy Edgar and the much-loved Simian Mobile Disco - this mix has got it all.
