We are currently looking for bright young interns to help out in our Melbourne and Sydney Offices!
Purple Sneakers is Australia’s biggest indie community; a national company always on the pulse of what’s happening in the worlds of music and youth culture both locally and internationally. Our Melbourne division puts on the freaken awesome (if we do say so ourselves) weekly CANT SAY party, consistently booking incredible talent for your aural pleasure.
Applicants must be free on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays to work in our marketing/promotions department. You would be assisting with our online & social media upkeep and have the opportunity to create original content, interview bands, get along to review live gigs all while you gain valuable music industry experience.
Who would suit this role?
Someone who loves discovering new bands, attends live music gigs regularly and devours music news. You must have excellent written communication skills, be able to work under direction as well as independently and be enthusiastic to learn. We’re a busy office doing 100 million things at once so an ability to work under pressure is also handy…
If you are currently undertaking a relevant music/digital/communications degree it would be helpful, although not necessary. This position is unpaid however the experience on offer is invaluable and could definitely further your career. As well as this, there’s always the added perks of free shit; albums, concert tickets and the chance to meet and mix with other musically minded people.
