Live Review: WIN: The Trouble With Templeton Tickets + New Video 'Someday Soon'

19 May 2012 | 6:00 pm | Staff Writer

Check out The Trouble With Templeton's new video 'Someday Soon' and while you're at it, enter our comp to win double passes to his show.

THE TROUBLE WITH TEMPLETON, AKA Brisbane singer/songwriter Thomas Calder, have done a lot in the short time they’ve been around. From playing with the likes of Sparkadia, Matt Corby, Dead Letter Chorus and more, they’ve also got some serious love on Triple J Unearthed (Seriously, there are so many little triple j drum symbols on their page it’s ridiculous). On top of all that, they’re also supporting Emma Louise on her QLD dates in July, so if you’re in the sunshine state, or planning to be, be sure to put that in your diaries now.

There's a lot I could say about the 'Someday Soon' film clip, but it's a Monday and you probably won't have time to read it all, so i’ll cut to the chase: watch this video right now. It’s dark and intense, not to mention incredibly detailed. The song that accompanies the video is great too, which is always a bonus. It’s one of those lucky situations where the song and the video match each other in quality. There’s nothing worse than having a fantastic song set to an awful video, or vice versa.

I promise you, you won’t be disappointed by this video. I’m so certain of this fact that if for some unknown reason you ARE disappointed, you can poke me on Facebook. That’s serious punishment right there.
