Live Review: WATCH: Voltaire Twins 'Young Adult'

13 May 2012 | 12:00 pm | Staff Writer

Directed by Ben Young, Volitare Twins' new video for 'Young Adult' brings synth waves and dance beats into the classroom and lets loose.

Ever wanted to replace your classroom chalkboards and notepads for synth waves and dance beats?? VOLTAIRE TWINS, along with a bunch of young hoodlums, have done exactly that in the clip to their new single 'Young Adult'.
Directed by Ben Young, the clip is reminiscent to that of OK GO’s 2006 film clip for 'Here It Goes', remember the treadmill band, with their treadmill song… yeah exactly. Though the brother-sister duo have opted to do things a bit differently, swapping treadmills for school desks, lycra and sweatbands for students in uniforms, ties and all.
Written in a day whilst the duo were swapping childhood stories, 'Young Adult' is nostalgic as all hell with a very catchy “oh ahh oh ahh ohh ahh oh ahhh”  chorus and lyrics that will have you daydreaming about  your very own adolescence. Oh! what a finale… awe, young love… Shucks..
You can catch Voltaire Twins at a one night only show at The Standard in Sydney tomorrow night as they support San Cisco on their Rocket Ship Tour.
