Live Review: WATCH: The Gooch Palms 'Cucaracha'

THE GOOCH PALMS are making waves on the Australian live music circuit; they’ve supported bands like Pond and Thee Oh Sees, and have opened up a few squares’ minds. Once you see first Leroy’s buttocks, you can never unsee it.

By the way, The Gooch Palms are having a whole lot more fun than you are. They’re playing music with sprinklers going, in little more than their underwear. The infamous Kat is playing an ironing board like an organ, and a plate like a tambourine, and Leroy only has a broom for a guitar. Now covered in flour and all kinds of muck, they keep dancing and dancing and dancing. And black and white film keeps it classy, as do the old-school opening credits and the very odd cutaways to pictures of bears…

Backyard clips rarely get this good. Same goes for live bands. Honestly, all I can do here is urge you urge you urge you to go check out their live show and never regret it. It’s a high energy and very lewd party.
