Live Review: WATCH: Purple Sneakers DJs At Groovin The Moo & CANT SAY

10 May 2012 | 9:00 am | Staff Writer

Purple Sneakers DJs made the trip down to Victoria for performances at CAN'T SAY Melbourne and Groovin The Moo, watch how it all unfolded.

It was a belter of a weekend to say the least with our very own kings of carnage PURPLE SNEAKERS DJS making the trip down to Victoria for awe inspiring performances at CANT SAY Melbourne and the Bendigo leg of the nationally touring GROOVIN THE MOO Festival.

First stop on the trip was CANT SAY; Electric Sea Spider impressed and astonished punters early on before Flume  absolutely let Platform One have it. Attendees were packed up against the front of the stage as he took them on a journey through his already-impressive (he's pretty young) catalogue of tunes, pausing only briefly due to soundcard issues (which the crowd more than forgave him for by chanting the synth line to 'Sleepless' at the top of their lungs when it cut out half way through the finale).

Star Slinger (UK) was up next and he did not disappoint, offering us the first live performance of his brand new Drake 'Crew Love' remix among many other tasty musical treats. PURPLE SNEAKERS and Indian Summer DJs rounded out the night with plenty of bro-love and mad late night tunes tunes.

The next day it was off to GROOVIN THE MOO, there are many reasons why we love this festival. The most important of course is it's strong family vibe. With 3 close stages, there's usually no strong clashes and no sense of being overwhelmed when you first look at the lineup.

Highlights included Wavves, Naysayer & GilsunKimbra, BeniGold Fields and of course PURPLE SNEAKERS DJs as the above video demonstrates (I missed seeing Public Enemy which I'm very angry at myself for).
