Live Review: MIXTAPE: Tomderson 'Melonball'

TOMDERSON, aka Tom Anderson, is a young DJ from the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In 2009, Tomderson started mixing songs in his bungalow out the back of his house, and mastered his craft DJing at house parties.

Since scoring his first gig in the CBD in 2010, Tomderson has played in around 20 different clubs around Melbourne. He's supported well known national and international acts like Ajax, Star Slinger, Flume, Miami Horror, Muscles, and many more.

Oh, and he's just turned 18.

Studying sound design to build his production and mixing skills, Tomderson hopes to have an EP out sometime before the end of 2012, although he releases mixtapes often, showing off his expansive knowledge of music with genres you can't even try to pronounce, like moombahton, and diverse range of influences. You only have to check out 'Melonball', his latest mixtape, below, to see this. It's an hour-long cross section of every genre ever made. Well, not really, but this is typical Tomderson: his sets will expand your mind and musical knowledge, making you like things you never would have imagined liking.
