Cold Hiker evoke painful memories of missing out on Radiohead - luckily, Cold Hiker are from Melbourne and indie-rockin' for your pleasure.
For those who missed out on Radiohead tickets, I hereby warn you this track will provoke some painful, painful memories. Melbourne-based band COLD HIKERS newest track ‘What I’ve Been’ echoes the spacey sounds of Radiohead, mixed with some alternative rock and a smooth jazzy fizzle.
The boys started up Cold Hiker in 2010 and have been producing sweet tunes ever since, but ‘What I’ve Been’ has recently attracted itself a bunch of attention, and rightly so. After being posted on the Triple J Unearthed website, the song has worked its way up to 33rd on the overall chart, and has a heap of positive reviews to go with – dayum!
The launch for the single is on ANZAC Day's Eve at The Workers Club, Fitzroy (details) - word on the street is they’ll be giving away a limited number of free copies for your own listening pleasure – get on it!
