Live Review: WATCH: Galapagoose 'One Who Can't Move'

Melbourne artist Galapagoose has an awesome name to go with a pretty trippy film clip.

I have to admit, I love the name GALAPAGOOSE. I like saying it out loud. Repeatedly. GALAPAGOOSE. It's so wonderfully alliterative, it just feels great rolling off your tongue. Which seems to mimic everything else about GALAPAGOOSE. He recently released the video for his latest offering 'One Who Can't Move' and it's just so sensual and experientially rich.

The Melbourne based artist creates a really chill, airy feel with the record, using synths, samples of echoing vocals and eerie piano keys to create an immersive, electro sound that reminded me of the dark, futuristic cityscapes in Blade Hunter. That melancholy, sweeping feel carries through into the video, which features spliced scenes overlaid on top of each other and seen through different colour screens. Trippy, I tell you.
