It’s easy to differentiate these bunnies from other bands battling it out for the indie spotlight...

So you might say that the cover art for WHITE RABBITS new album Milk Famous perhaps jumps on the 80s noir bandwagon (think recent flick Drive opening credits + splash of Pollock). Nonetheless they’re certainly not your average formulated hipsters. Although there’s an obvious influence from Producer, Mike McCarthy (Spoon producer), it’s easy to differentiate these bunnies from other bands battling it out for the indie spotlight.

Checking out their back catalogue usually results in an outburst of “how did I not know about this band?!” which naturally of course soon flips to “White Rabbits? Ah yeah I’ve had them on my ipod for like forever…”. Earlier songs such as “Percussion Gun” (It’s Frightening) and “The Plot“ (Fort Nightly) prove that having two drummers is admittedly pretty cool and works when the musicians actually know their shit.

Apparently known for giving audiences high energy performances, it’s worth keeping your pretty little eyes and ears open for news of any trips down under. In the meantime, start memorizing lyrics and earn some cred by playing these guys at your next backyard shindig.
