Live Review: Listen: Dz Deathrays ‘No Sleep’

There aren’t too many bands like our very own DZ DEATHRAYS. Comprising of guitarist and vocalist Shane Parsons and drummer Simon Ridley, DZ are the modern day Death From Above 1979. Ear bleeding guitar riffs, headache inducing drumming and Parsons gritty yelps are all part of the ready to party attitude of this awesome Brisbane duo.

With their debut album scheduled for release sometime this year and UK music Bible NME frothing on them like nobodies business, DZ have been getting lots of love over the brutal noise attack ‘No Sleep’. It reminds me of getting down and dirty with French backpackers in a dingy London nightclub. In other words, it’s sex for your eardrums.
