Live Review: LISTEN: Disclosure 'Tenderly' & 'Flow'

DISCLOSURE are my new favourite for bassy, future funky house. The guys are currently booked to support SBTRKT throughout his UK tour, they are clearly blowing up and all you have to do it hit play to see why. 

‘Tenderly’ is a romantic awakening for bass tunes: a soulful vocal sample that beckons you into that rhythmic hip house flavour before it hits a percussive drop, laden with steel drums, broken kick, clicks and cow bell. Super stylish and highly accessible without compromising that juicy bass that pounds into your chest. Turn it up.

‘Flow’ is a fireworks display of synth chords, bass pulses, and electric keys circa 1990. They really know how to nail the vocal selection and arrangement - it's got me really curious if it's one of them perhaps?

More good news: Disclosure are giving away an EP for free via their Facebook page - just go and like it to get access to the downloads on the band page.

It doesn't include ‘Tenderly’/‘Flow’ - you will have to go and part with a couple of AUD over at the Make Mine Bandcamp for that pleasure, but it's worth it - I've got my copy and it's been on repeat for weeks. Make Mine are at 7" label from the UK, disseminating excellent music.
