Some brand new Springsteen inspired upbeat indie-rock coming from Manchester 4 piece Wu Lyf (World Unite Lucifer Youth Foundation). There's no doubt 'We Bros' has a solid sound - We-Were-Dead-Before-the-Ship-Even-Sank, Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse) sounding semi-coherent vocals accompany Smiths influenced Johnny Marr style eternal soloing for the duration of the song. Throw in some frantic marching drums and an uplifting chorus and you've got a hit.

I found some hilarious insights into the band's music from cruising Youtube comments on their last single 'Split It Concrete Like The Colden Sun God' - one user wrote "Literal lyrics: Naugh spinnaugh bleh, spinnaugh bleh. Rohsu gaugh, rohsu gaugh. Spinnaugh bleh, spinnaugh bleh. Rohsu gaugh, rohsu gaugh (x3). Naugh houghjemoken blieanaugh glegh. Sweet tah hoe. Don't matter wha-on segh. Steel-whagh on jeaugh. Etc". Another predicted that "Google must be exploding from all the people entering 'WU LYF LYRICS'"

Yes... It's true, Wu Lyf really aren't onto anything that Arcade Fire weren't back in 2004 and the slightly uninspired running through the wilderness clip isn't helping their cause. Although they might sound a tad studied they still really are worth checking out - they'll be doing Laneway Festival with Melbourne and Sydney sideshows next year - more info HERE.
