Being a dj means you don't have to be a great dancer, ever.

You get to hear some of your favourite songs when you play.

I suppose we can be less restrained by genre, so we can whore ourselves out to most crowds if we please, meet heaps of new people and hopefully make them get into music they thought they didn't like (or make them hate you).

Stonefest 2010 in the Silent Party - so loose, so silent.

Party By Jake presents Flight Facilities in Canberra - everyone FROTHING for that one track.

Strangeways presents Splendour in the Bar 2011 "Kanye West Sideshow Edition" - this went down only recently. Synthetic grass inside Transit bar. Amazing party vibe for the genre defying Strangeways.

Party By Jake DJs at World Bar in the innocently named Tea Room.

Purple Sneakers every month. A room full of crazy party kids who love them some fun music - not just heavy bass lines.

Top five places you have woken up after a huge night?

The best place I've woken up is in my own bed... but I know that's not what you meant...

We once did a stacks-on sleeping pile at the end of a big bender. Surprisingly comfy.
